Mura bhfuil, mura bhfuil flaithiúlachtaí, mura bhfuil sé
If there is not, if there is not generosity, if it is not.
Mura bhfuil sé le nádúr leat.
If it is not in your nature...
Mura bhfuil flaithiúlacht agus féileacht
If there is no generosity and hospitality.
Ba in é an rud a bhí ag tarraingt na lucht siúil fadó do tithe áirithe.
That was what was attracting the travelling people long ago to certain houses.
Óh d'aithneodh d'aithneoidís beadh a fhios acu.
Oh if they knew, if they would know, they would know...
Teach na Teach na Féile ghabhfadh siad thoir an teach.
The House of the House of the Festival they would go east of the house..
Ní ghabhfaidh siad isteach go deo ach sna tithe céanna i gcónaí.
They will never go in except always into the same houses.
Bhíodh siad ag teacht as na tithe céanna i gcónaí agus bhí strus mór astu.
They used to always come from the same houses and they were very stressed.
B'fhéidir gur rófhlaithiúil a bhíodh cuid de na teifigh go dtarraingíodh sé, go mbíodh sé dhá dtarraingt orthu, ach is minic a bhíodh lántí acu i gcuid de na tithe agus chuile theach eile ar an mbaile, b'fhéidir nach mbeadh fear ar bith ann ná duine ar bith ann.
Perhaps some of the refugees used to be too generous, that it would attract it, that it would be attracting it to them, but often they used to have full houses in some of the houses and in every other house in the town, perhaps there wouldn't be any man there or anyone there.
