Thart ara bhíodh neart acu fadó ní fhaca mé a dhath le fada anois; ní dhéanaim go leor siúlóid mar sin ach bhíodh cnap agus bhí an tine á gcaitheamh lena chéile agus ar ndóigh bhí an diabhal orthu dhá dte an dochar ach tá pire suas lena dtarraingt amach.

There used to be plenty of them long ago, I haven't seen a thing for a long time now; I don't do a lot of walking like that but there used to be a lump and the fire was being thrown together and of course they were in trouble with the devil but there's a fire up pulling them out.
